The bench features a tall architectural back with finely detailed pointed-arch tracery, strongly influenced by ecclesiastical Gothic design. Above, a substantial heavily carved cornice gives the piece a particularly imposing presence, while the rich oak construction and generous scale reinforce its original institutional and religious setting.
